Sky Divers with Flares

A bevy of explanations offered for recent sightings in the Tucson Citizen.

In Phoenix, Arizona, skydivers were offered up as an explanation for a mass sighting over the city on October 23rd. The Air Force later offered ‘military flares’ as the official explanation.

Strange airplane ejects star-like objects in Tucson

January 4th, 2011: A pilot visiting Tucson spots a plane like craft that ejects two star-like objects.

"Suddenly, a relatively bright 'star like object' appeared to drop from it slowly," the witness stated. "It was under control by someone or something as it stopped a few seconds, then headed west several seconds."

1967 UFO landing in Tucson

October 9th 1967: A boy reported seeing an 8 ft. tall cylindrical UFO in Tucson, Arizona.

The object was supported by two legs ending in round pads that were joined by a bar. The boy reported that as he approached the object, it “rose vertically with a deep, low-pitched hum”

Travel company launches South West UFO Tour

The Southwest UFO Discovery Tour begins in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Destinations include Los Alamos, White Sands, Socorro and Roswell, where during the summer of 1947, a UFO allegedly crash-landed and was recovered by the U.S. military. The tour finishes with three days at Grand Canyon, Sedona and Phoenix, Arizona.
